My Oath and Binding

My Oath and Binding

To Jeffrey B Irish,

This is the final word you shall receive from me.

I withdraw entirely and without return. I end what has been between us. I will not seek you, nor speak to you, nor place myself where you may be found.

What was between us is finished. The boundary is set and will not be crossed.

Do not look for me, for I am no longer within your world.

This is as you have wished.
I freely give it.
Farewell.

Horkos of Eternal Severance

I, Dustin Ray Irish-Webb, called Kindrick Windsoul, servant of Hades and child of the Deathless Gods, swear this oath in full knowledge, with clear mind, and without reservation.

I call to witness the high and the deep, the seen and the unseen:

Zeus Horkios, who guards the oath and judges the false.
Poseidon, lord of the deep, steadfast and unyielding.
Hades, who receives what is given and does not release it.
Hecate Enodia, who stands at the boundary and closes the backward way.
The Erinyes, who pursue the breaker and make the oath remembered.
The Moirai, who allot the measure and cut what is finished.
The Styx, eldest witness, by which even the Gods are bound.

Before these witnesses, I swear:

I will not seek Jeffrey B Irish.
I will not speak to Jeffrey B Irish.
I will not send word or sign.
I will not look upon their life, nor follow after them.
I will not contrive meeting.
I will not cross this boundary in thought, word, or deed.

This boundary I establish as final. It is not to be undone. It is not to be revisited.

As the realms were divided among the sons of Kronos—Sky, Sea, and Underworld—so is all passage between us divided and ended.

If I keep this oath, may I remain within right order among Gods and men.

If I break this oath, knowingly and of my own will:

Let Zeus judge me as oath-breaker and withdraw his favor.
Let Poseidon set against me and unmake the ground beneath my path.
Let Hades receive this broken oath as he receives the dead, holding it fast and returning it not.
Let the Erinyes remember.
Let the Styx bear witness against me.

This I swear by the Gods.
This I swear by the Styx.
I have sworn.
It is done.
